Our weekly open mic night is a collectively led evening for Comedians of all experience levels and backgrounds to trial out material, old and new, in front of a supportive audience. At Ponsonby’s beloved bar, Cafe 39, it’s cocktails are sure to make it worth your while!

In the audience and feel a little curious about comedy? Comedy open mics in NZ run a little differently! Instead of sign-ups on the night, we cast via an open poll in the Auckland Comedy Community FB page ahead of time and tend to book people that we know are good sports! We pride ourselves in offering a safe, supportive space for Comedians and audiences first and foremost.
