Comedy Culture NZ is an award-winning, collective and production house (Best Producer, NZ Comedy Guild Awards 2025) that champions joyful, comedic theatre and experiences, built by and for like-minded performers and audiences. Intended to be a beacon of light amidst the daily chaos, Comedy Culture NZ strives to be an umbrella brand and support network to launch emerging, local Comedians and Producers towards their goals and ideal audiences.

Recognising the barriers that queer, differently‑abled, and neurodivergent artists face in mainstream New Zealand Comedy spaces, we’ve created a foundation that values risk-taking, community-building, and a good, hearty belly laugh, all while striving for change. It's a platform where artists can push boundaries, explore new ideas, and share their authentic selves while audiences soak up laughter, love, and contagious, unapologetic energy.

Comedy Culture NZ regularly produce lineup shows such as Femmes & Thems Comedy (Winner best regular show Wellington 23/24, Welly Comedy Awards and Best Live Comedy Show, NZ Comedy Guild Awards 2025), Can’t Think Straight: A Queer Variety Show, and the Big Queer Improv Party as well as being a trustworthy brand for emerging Artists to work under as they establish themselves professionally.
